Pre-organization of the core structure of E-selectin antagonists

A new class of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (GlcNAc) mimics for E-selectin antagonists was designed and synthesized. The mimic consists of a cyclohexane ring substituted with alkyl substituents adjacent to the linking position of the fucose moiety. Incorporation into E-selectin antagonists led to the test compounds 8 and the 2'-benzoylated analogues 21, which exhibit affinities in the low micromolar range. By using saturation transfer difference (STD)-NMR it could be shown that the increase in affinity does not result from an additional hydrophobic contact of the alkyl substituent with the target protein E-selectin, but rather from a steric effect stabilizing the antagonist in its bioactive conformation. The loss of affinity found for antagonists 10 and 35 containing a methyl substituent in a remote position (and therefore unable to support to the stabilization of the core) further supports this hypothesis. Finally, when a GlcNAc mimetic containing two methyl substituents (52 and 53) was used, in which one methyl was positioned adjacent to the fucose linking position and the other was in a remote position, the affinity was regained.     

环氧/氟碳复合涂层失效过程的电化学阻抗谱研究

用电化学阻抗技术研究了环氧富锌底漆、环氧云铁中间漆和氟碳面漆构成的多层复合涂层在四种不同腐蚀环境中的失效过程.涂层在四种环境中的失效速率按下列顺序降低:3.5%NaCl浸泡+紫外照射,45℃湿热环境,35℃盐雾试验,3.5%NaCl浸泡.尽管涂层在四种不同环境中失效速率差别很大,但不同环境中阻抗中频区的相角,尤其是10Hz频率的相角,与涂层的低频阻抗值变化趋势非常接近.由于中频区的相角可以快速测量,因此可以作为在工程现场定性评价涂层保护性能的参数.     

Magnetic nondestructive technology for detection of tempered martensite embrittlement

A nondestructive eddy current technique is used to evaluate tempered martensite embrittlement in 4340 AISI steels after quench and tempering in the range 240–550 °C. A relation between the responses of the magnetic induction (normalized impedance of the coil) and destructive Charpy impact test results has been established. The study shows that the eddy current method could be used to separate brittle parts due to the microstructure changes.     

On the statistics of area size in two-dimensional thick Voronoi diagrams

Cells of Voronoi diagrams in two dimensions are usually considered as having edges of zero width. However, this is not the case in several experimental situations in which the thickness of the edges of the cells is relatively large. In this paper, the concept of a thick Voronoi tessellation, that is with edges of non-zero width, is introduced and the statistics of cell areas, as thickness changes, are analyzed.     

Propagation of local excitations through strongly correlated quantum chains

The propagation of an external transverse magnetic signal acting locally on a 1d chain of spins generates a disturbance which runs through the system. This quantum effect can be interpreted as a classical travelling wave which contains a superposition of a large set of frequencies depending on the size of the chain. Its local amplitude fixes the size of the z-component of the spins at any location in the chain. The average and maximum value of the group velocity are determined and compared with the transmission velocity fixed by the Lieb-Robinson upper bound inequality.     

Characterization of a low concentrator photovoltaics module

Low concentration photovoltaic (LCPV) systems have the potential to reduce the cost per kWh of electricity compared to conventional flat-plate photovoltaics (PV) by up to 50%. The cost-savings are realised by replacing expensive PV cells with relatively cheaper optical components to concentrate incident solar irradiance onto a receiver and by tracking the sun along either 1 axis or 2 axes. A LCPV module consists of three interrelated subsystems, viz., the optical, electrical and the thermal subsystems, which must be considered for optimal module design and performance. Successful integration of these subsystems requires the balancing of cost, performance and reliability. In this study LCPV experimental prototype modules were designed, built and evaluated with respect to optimisation of the three subsystems and overall performance. This paper reports on the optical and electrical evaluation of a prototype LCPV module.     

中、远红外双波段激光器发射光谱测量与评估

在分析中远红外双波段(氟化氘与一氧化碳)激光器发射光谱的基本特征和分光型谱仪存在高级次光谱混叠等问题的基础上,选定Tensor37干涉型遥测光谱仪并利用黑体标定出仪器响应函数;对中、远红外双波段激光器光谱进行了模拟测量和实际测量,分析评估了双波段激光器的谱线成分、峰值变化、测量精度和相对强度等,为双波段激光器的介质参数计算、运转参数优化以及红外应用提供有效数据。     

高师院校学生综合素质评价指标的科学确定

通过对9个原变量进行主成分分析,得出一个用于评价高师院校学生综合素质的评价指标.     

上海世博会的经济综合影响力指数模型

分析上海世博会在世博筹备建设和举办时期对上海市经济方面影响.筛选了世博会影响经济的四个方面(国民经济,财政收支,固定资产投资和对外经济贸易与旅游)的10个主要指标,构建了世博会影响经济的评价指标体系,针对每一项指标,利用1995年到2002的实际数据用指数回归拟合模型测算出2003-2010年在未筹办世博会情况下各项经济指标的估计(拟合)数据,并建立单指标的影响力指数模型,在分析2003年后的实际数据与拟合数据差异基础上,获得了上海世博会在每个指标方面对上海的影响力指数;建立了多指标综合影响力指数模型,得出总的经济影响力的指数为0.2403.考虑到2008年底金融危机势必会削弱世博会对经济的影响,通过参照另外两个同为中国直辖市的重庆和天津相同指标的变化,运用单独建立的模型,剔除金融危机对经济的影响,从而获得更客观地揭示世博对上海地区经济的真实影响程度.并就两个典型的指标给出了具体的演算过程,最后得到了消除了金融危机后的所有指标的影响力指数值,最终获得总的经济影响力的指数为0.2531,即世博会对上海市经济的实际贡献率为25.31%.
